The immensely popular SeaLink Magnetic Island Race Week (SMIRW) is set to take place from 28 August to 3 September.
Proudly supported by Nautilus Marine Insurance, this year will mark the 18th edition of Townsville Yacht Club’s charming regatta, which follows hot on the heels of Hamilton Island Race Week. ‘Maggie’ is known for its one-of-a-kind atmosphere and providing the perfect finish to the Queensland regatta season. Peppers Blue on Blue Resort, the central hub of SMIRW, is easily accessible via ferry from Townsville to Magnetic Island and there will also be an exciting lineup of onshore activities for both participants and spectators. Last year’s SMIRW sold out in just 12 minutes, so it’s best to get your entries in as soon as they open at 10am on 3 March.
