Maritimo’s on-water display is always a standout of Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (SCIBS) and this year’s display will be no exception. The luxury motor yacht brand will showcase six models at SCIBS in May, including the global launch of its M50 Flybridge Motor Yacht, with show attendees having the chance to step aboard this highly anticipated vessel for the first time.
“SCIBS is the biggest boat show in the Southern Hemisphere, and Maritimo’s home show, so it’s always been a linchpin for Maritimo launches,” says Simon Stewart, Maritimo Marketing Manager. “The global launch of the M50 Flybridge Motor Yacht will be the focus of our on-water display at SCIBS. When people walk into our display, the M50 will be the first thing they see. It will be the centrepiece of our show in 2025. Maritimo will be showcasing five other vessels this year, representing a good spread across a range of different sizes, including the M75 Flybridge, M60 Flybridge, M55 Flybridge, S55 Sedan and for the first time at SCIBS a S60 Sedan.”
Maritimo motor yachts are renowned for their blue-water cruising credentials, impeccable craftsmanship, luxury finishes, and their performance and handling in difficult sea conditions. The M50 Flybridge Motor Yacht and her fellow 50ft vessel, the forthcoming S50 Sedan Motor Yacht (which is still in the research and development phase) both reflect these quintessential Maritimo qualities.
“Stepping up from a 30 or 40-footer never looked so enticing,” says Stewart of both the M50 and S50. “Equally, moving from a larger craft does not mean a contraction in luxury, comfort, ride, performance or overall amenity. Rather, the new M50 Flybridge Motor Yacht and forthcoming S50 Sedan Motor Yacht embody everything that is truly Maritimo in a 50ft package. Every square centimetre of these vessels has been reviewed and considered, leading to enhancements that will be enjoyed by future owners. With a beam of 5.22m, the M50 Flybridge Motor Yacht is the largest four-sided enclosed Flybridge in its class, and the whole Maritimo team is excited to globally launch this incredible vessel at SCIBS.”
In preparation for SCIBS, the Maritimo team has been busy with final pre-production refinements to the M50, the latest addition to Maritimo’s glamorous line-up of luxury, long-range vessels. Thousands of hours have been invested in planning, customer consultation, computer-aided design, and engineering development to bring the M50 to life. As the first M50 hull has started to take shape, Maritimo owners have been given the opportunity to take behind the scenes factory tours, giving them a taste of the M50 in all her glory.
Neil McCabe, Maritimo’s Design Office Manager, along with Senior Designer Julian Villegas, have lived and breathed the development process of the M50 Flybridge Motor Yacht and the forthcoming S50 Sedan Motor Yacht over the last two years.
“The Maritimo factory tour process gives a lot of comfort to our owners,” says McCabe. “They know what to expect in terms of fit out and they get a really clear idea of the design of the boat. The M50 package continues to refine what Maritimo is all about. Reliability and dependability, comfort, ride and handling, luxurious living, and true long-range credentials.”
Expressions of interest in the M50 and forthcoming S50 are being taken now.
